This music is my highest caliber effort to date. Cliffdiver has been artfully mixed and meticulously mastered by the talented Matt Weed. Matt provided format specific mastering so that each physical format as well as the digital files have their own unique high quality master appropriate to the listening medium. MACHINE aka George Flett took my photographs and created his dreamscape layout for the album art and helped direct an artistic vision that my visual vocabulary could hardly articulate. Thank you so much Matt Weed & George Flett.

Cliffdiver took 2 years in total to put together. Aside the efforts of Weed & Flett, this release was completed and funded on my own. The songs were primarily written and performed in my studio in Austin, Texas. I tracked Don't Leave Santa Cruz in my best friend's living room in Santa Cruz, CA. I recorded the nighttime outdoor ambience and initial ideas for Are You Afraid of the Dark? at my brother's home in Niceville, Florida. The vocal in Which Mind Do You Find? was provided by Corrina Rachel courtesy of PsycheTruth Austin.

The music was written and recorded within a timeline of my life that spanned from blissful gratitude to navigation of deep loss. During the process of making this record I gave up alcohol permanently. Upon release day I have 21 months alcohol free. In the midst of life offering up challenges, I know in my heart that sobriety gave me a sharper focus and the energy and drive to see this album through to it's end. This creative process provided a shield for me when life skewed in unfortunate directions. It also helped celebrate positive elements of human consciousness. I'm forever grateful to the enrapturement of catharsis.
